My name is Desiree Cochran-Norfolk. I am an addiction counselor (Certified Clinical Supervisor, Certified Master Addiction Counselor, and Certified Addiction Counselor II through the Georgia Addiction Counselor's Association, as well as a Master Certified Addiction Professional through the Florida Certification Board. I am also a Certified Anger Management Specialist). I am currently obtaining my certification as a Family Violence facilitator and as a Substance Abuse Professional for the DOT. I spent many years in reentry services (helping people get back on their feet after incarceration) and as a paralegal before I decided to venture into the field of counseling. I started my journey in counseling in 2016. I have three biological children (ages 19, 13, and 3). I have 7 dogs and a cat. I completed my Master's degree at Liberty University. I completed a Bachelor's degree at Georgia State University majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Public Policy (with a focus on non-profit administration). I spend my free time with my family and love being outdoors. My passion is helping people to help themselves. I look forward to hearing all of your introductions!
